Things have been rough for Kaka since he moved to Real Madrid. He spent most of the last two years ravaged by injury and struggling to get back in form. But the Brazilian’s managed to get back into the starting lineup for a number of games now, and looks more like his old self every time. He was particularly influential in midweek as Real slaughtered Ajax in their Champions League group game, playing a subtle but important role in the best team goal I’ve seen in a long time, scoring a magnificent goal of his own, and getting in a clever assist to ice his cake.
Kaka’s resurgence would obviously spell serious trouble for Barcelona, who already only just managed to get the edge on Real in their Spanish Supercopa confrontation at the start of the season. It would also help 2007’s Ballon d’Or Winner shake off the albatross of his obscene price tag. Good luck dude!
